6 Jennifer Lopez Projects To Look Out For This Year
It looks like it’s going to be a great upcoming year for Jennifer Lopez. 2017 is a stacked year for the multi-talented star, undertaking projects from her upcoming Spanish album, an increase in dates to her Las Vegas residency show, and work on not just one but two TV shows.
No matter your interest in the star, whether on the concert stage or small screen, there are multiple ways to get your Jennifer Lopez fix throughout the year. Here are six things we can’t wait for.
Drake Collab on the Way
According to Billboard, there is new music in the works and soon to be on the way. Taking to social media, the couple seemingly broke the internet while sparking rumors, as they shared snippets of their upcoming song “Winter Wonderland Prom.” The video shows the affectionate pair dancing while exchanging a kiss or two.
Upcoming Spanish Album
After a partnership with Sony Music Latin, and Magnus Media, owned by ex-husband Marc Anthony, she announced that she was working on a new album, produced by Anthony, completely in Spanish. Performing at the 2016 Latin Grammy Awards, Lopez and Anthony performed their forthcoming hit “Olvidame y Pega La Vuelta” which was immediately released on iTunes. No date has been given to the album, but expect it very soon.
Shades of Blue: Season Two
Premiering on NBC on March 5, we’re eagerly awaiting the return of Harlee on the small screen. Executively produced by Ryan Seacrest and Lopez, Shades of Blue looks to build it’s worth on the network, which already features a strong lineup of established dramas.
Debut of reality show: World of Dance
Making a return to the world of reality TV, working as an executive producer and judge, Lopez announced World of Dance mid last year. This new reality series will have a 10-episode season, featuring participants looking to showcase their dancing skills, varying from ballet to hip-hop and ballroom, to take home the $1 million prize. Lopez isn’t the only celebrity featured on the show, Derek Hough and Ne-Yo will also appear as judges.
‘All I Have‘ Residency in Las Vegas
Kicking off her residency in Las Vegas last year, the musician is looking to make her return to the stage next month, with 36 newly added dates spanning throughout the year until October.
Bye Bye Birdie Live!
Playing the role of Rose “Rosie” Alvarez, the ’50s era musical Bye Bye Birdie Live! is set to debut sometime in December 2017. “As a child I loved watching musicals and anything broadway, Bye Bye Birdie is one of my biggest inspirations,” she shared in an interview.
